Social media news content analysis

Social media news content analysis:  On Snapchat, there are short videos that can be found under the stories tab. Here, there are many news outlets that post videos about the news that day. One is “Stay Tuned” by NBC news. This short news snippet usually discusses the breaking news for each day of the week. For example on Tuesday, the short video discussed a Michigan school shooting. The news is shared in unconventional ways because users can choose to view the videos when they are in between snapping their friends. It is interesting to see news shared so much on an app which, in my experience, is usually used for sending pictures to friends. The news videos suggest that more information can be found on NBC’s website, and always shows many videos and pictures of the incident. I really enjoy how quickly the news is gone. “Stay Tuned” gives us a quick round up, while still covering important events.
